The Warrior God of Love: Will You Reject Him?

Exodus 15:3 says, "The Lord our God is a mighty warrior."
I am big on the topic of love and grace, but I am fascinated by the love of God mingled with His warrior attributes.
I believe that one thing that will be very difficult for many will be in the day when Jesus returns. We are so focused on love and grace, as we should be within ourselves, but we also forget that there still were many things that happened in terms of judgment even after the cross.
We see much more happening in terms of love and grace post-resurrection. When Peter and Paul addressed people, they spoke of God's love in redeeming people. They often met people where they were at as Paul did in Athens. However, Ananias and Sapphira were struck down, as well as King Herod. Simon the sorcerer received a consequence for wanting to buy the Holy Spirit.
The big kicker is when we get to Revelation 14:20 where it speaks of Jesus killing His enemies with the sword coming from His mouth in the End-Times war. It says there is so much blood that it is up to the bridle of the horse for 180 miles!! As far as I know, Stallone and Schwarzenneger movies combined don't even come close to that.
So where is the love? I thought this is the God of Love who is motivated by love. I struggled with this for a couple years. Continually telling Him I know He is about love, but I had to feel it too.
God does everything through love. Even this. Because it's not the slaughter of these people He is striving toward, but the saving of His Beloved, His Bride. Love motivates Him, and it is dangerous to stand in His way not because He will hate you, but He has His eyes set on gathering up His people in His arms.
Anyone in love can understand this. Any parent can understand this. If they see their loved one in trouble they want to rush to them, or if they haven't seen them in a long time. They rush to get to them and that is all they are focused on. The consequence is that anybody who steps in the way gets knocked over.
God is a God of love. He fed the multitudes and died for us. But His love also drives Him to fight for us. Many will see Jesus in what is called the Great and Terrible Day and say, "This isn't love, so this isn't my God." He loves us.
This is the heart of a warrior. Not to kill others, but to do what is necessary to be with the ones they love and ensure their safety.
