A Quick Trick for Getting in Shape

I like being in shape, but I hate feeling like it has to take a ton of work everyday. Not too long ago a friend and I were talking and he said he wanted to lose some weight and get in shape.

This quick little workout came to my head. Along with a healthier diet, I was surprised when he told me just from those two things he had lost over 20 lbs. in under two months!!

And it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes a day!! So here it is.

It uses what I call my Core3 because these are my three exercises that I can do anywhere without any equipment, and any time I have kept these in my routine I have felt great: Pushups, Situps, Bodyweight Squats.

The cycle looks like this:

Pushups 15x, Situps 15x, Squats 15x

You do 4 cycles of this without stopping. Then do a 5th cycle where you burnout doing as many of each as you can.

It only takes about 5 to ten minutes!! By the end you will be breathing hard! When it seems easy, move to doing 20 reps on your first four sets. Then start doing it twice a day. I like doing them first thing when I wake up and last thing before I go to bed.

Maybe you're saying that's too difficult. Modify it. Do your pushups from your knees if you need to. Start with doing 10 reps on your first four cycles. But get doing something.

Like I said, this always shows results for me fast!! Hope it helps you.

The Cross Training Center

Also, I want to make sure I take this month and really give some shout outs for the Cross Training Center in Omaha, NE. Omaha is where God has planted me, and the Cross Training Center is a non-profit organization that really works hard to help this community. They train people who need job training or life skills and a lot more. They are amazing people really doing what I see as the work of Christ. I am honored to call Brenda Banks, the awesome lady who heads this organization, a personal friend.

Well they are needing some help. They are in their new building, but they are needing some finances to pay it off and it is needed by the end of the month!! I highly recommend going to their website and helping them with their campaign. Their website is posted below. I will be pushing for this all month as I see it something of importance. If you feel urged to help, please do. God bless.

Here is the address for the Cross Training Center's campaign. Check out who they are while you're at their site. They will blow you away.
